2. Our role
SparFinans is a free, non-binding marketing service (lead generation). We are not a bank and not a licensed credit broker: we do not grant credit, make credit decisions or provide financial advice. We help you get an overview of loan providers and forward your registration to one or more licensed loan partners, who may contact you with offers. We receive a commission from our partners — the service is always free for you.
3. What data we process, purposes and legal bases
a) Registration and lead forwarding
When you complete the form we process: email address, mobile number, and your desired loan amount and repayment period. In addition, the following is collected automatically: IP address, browser information, time, and campaign parameters (e.g. the click ID of the ad you arrived from).
Purpose: to match you with, and forward your enquiry to, relevant loan partners. Legal basis: UK GDPR / GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) (steps taken at your request) and Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in operating and documenting the service).
b) Direct marketing
Only if you have ticked the consent box do we use your email and mobile number to send you relevant loan offers and information — up to 3–5 times a week. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in our messages or by contacting us.
c) Statistics and abuse prevention
IP address and campaign parameters are used for traffic measurement, settlement with advertising partners, and abuse prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Cookies and local storage
sparfinans.eu does not set cookies. We only use the browser's sessionStorage to carry your details between the steps of the registration; the content is deleted when you close the tab and is not used for cross-site tracking. Our partners' websites use their own cookies — see their policies.
5. Who do we share your data with?
- Licensed loan partners you are forwarded to or request offers from
- IT processors: Cloudflare (hosting/CDN) and Supabase (database, EU/Stockholm)
- Public authorities where required by law
6. Transfers to third countries
Your data is stored in the EU/EEA by default. If a processor processes data outside the EU/EEA, this is done on the basis of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or another valid transfer mechanism.
7. Retention and deletion
Lead data is deleted or anonymised no later than 12 months after your registration, unless the law requires longer retention. Marketing data is processed until you withdraw your consent.
8. Security
All traffic is encrypted (TLS), data is stored in the EU behind access controls, and only authorised systems can access the lead database.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw your consent. Contact us to exercise your rights. You can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), ico.org.uk.
10. Changes
We may update this statement from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
